"The people are great, no high heels and mini-skirts, everybody goes to dance and enjoy. The "Early Bird Crew" gathers every other Wednesday. We all have jobs or businesses that require rising early in the morning."
THE PLAN:
Try to arrive around 7 and you can be headed home around 10:30 with a full night of dancing, good food and camaraderie.
7 pm to 8:30 Dance to recorded contemporary Cuban music. This time slot is an informal "rueda de casino Social." No formal class but an opportunity to practice reviewing calls and leading without pressure. People who just like partner dancing are more than welcome!
8:30 pm to 9 pm Introductory salsa class taught by Connie Mendieta. (If not taking the class, good chance to have dinner and interact with other "Crew" members.)
9 pm to 9:30 pm More recorded music and open dancing.
9:30 to 10:30 Live Music! Guama' play their first set of great
Cuban music
