More to know: Kay is a third generation sewist and connoisseur of fashion and textile history. Her specialties include fine dressmaker techniques and art-couture garments. She has been teaching for 15 years. Her passion is to pass on her knowledge, skills, and love of the art of sewing to her students. In 2002, Kay was a guest on HGTV’s Sew Much More, demonstrating a variety of embellishment techniques for a vest she designed. You can view the segment on the video page of her website. In addition to private instruction, she teaches classes at FarthingalesLA in Santa Monica.
